We're in the heat of it now folks - literally and figuratively - hope you're staying cool. We've got more vegetables than we know what to do with even though it feels like we're just getting started. We're patiently waiting for three 100ft rows of tomatoes to blossom and our pepper plants to really take off. Tomatoes & peppers; the lifeblood of summer.
I think the hardest part of our first season is being okay with where we're at. Our minds tend to wander and picture the potential this little farm of ours has. If we were without the limitations of money & time we'd have things like bi- monthly *farm dinners*, rows of lupine, gobs of raspberries and a heated greenhouse that'd allow us to have tomatoes already.
It's so very easy to get caught in the game of comparison, but we're working on appreciating our first year and just maybe taking a little pride in it too. I mean- the idea for this whole thing was once a longwinded text in a group chat just over a year ago... Look at us now!
All this to say, we're so stoked you're here and hope you stick around. This is just the beginning of GSF!
*We're hoping to pull one or two off this season! Stay tuned *
