We can't complain about the rain, but the cooler temps have surely been slowing our warm-weather loving plants down some. Our melons and heirloom tomotoes are ripening slower than expected, so we'll be tending to them this week to see what we can do to quicken the ripening process.
If it's not one thing, it's another. The resident bunnies have decided to move in on the roots and other goodies. Took them this long, which we're grateful for, but they will be dispatched (we'll call it) sooner rather than later.
With the bad news comes the good, we've got the most impressive giant hubbard and our delicatas are bountiful. Both of which you'll be receiving in your CSAs, most likley next week, after they have some time to cure.
Farm Party is still on for next Sunday evening, rain or shine, we'd love to have you. We're finalizing the menu and will post it on our instagram later this week. Check it out!
