Hope y'all are staying dry - hard to complain about rain, but boy we're ready for that summer sun. We anticipate things really taking off with some heat after this good soak.
This week we had the opportunity to help seed squash and pick berries alongside Forbidden Fruit Orchard & Farm Stand. (Those receiving a large share will get some of their tasty jam berries!) One of our favorite parts of farming is building community with other local farms. It’s fun to learn from those who’ve got a few more years in the game like Jackie and Matt. Their generosity and willingness to share what they know was a real reminder of how ag is strongest when we support one another. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by their seasonal stand at the junction of Montana Highways 135 (Paradise Cutoff) and 200.
They’re open Wednesday–Sunday, 11 AM–5 PM, with:
Fresh strawberries and raspberries in June
Cherries and assorted vegetables in July
Peaches in August
Go show them some love and support local OR if you’re willing to get your hands dirty they’re always looking for an extra set.
